The recent win against the Rays increased the Blue Jays’ playoff odds from a season-low of 7.3 per cent to 8.7 per cent. Springer emphasized the need for the team to play freely and without fear of failure, focusing on winning each game.
Veteran right-hander Max Scherzer, who is nearing a return from the injured list after five hitless innings of rehab work at triple-A Buffalo, also echoed this sentiment.
